Captain Abhimanyu, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Narnaund Assembly seat in Hisar district, has declared assets worth approximately ₹500 crore as he filed his nomination for the upcoming elections. The former Finance Minister of Haryana revealed significant financial holdings in his affidavit, which details his family’s wealth and business interests.
The nomination papers show that Captain Abhimanyu owns shares worth ₹250 crore. His wife, Ekta Sindhu, holds ₹79.03 crore in shares, while their children possess shares valued at ₹72.35 crore. Altogether, the family’s shareholdings amount to ₹401.38 crore, underscoring the vast wealth of the BJP candidate.
Political Career and Loss in 2019
Captain Abhimanyu first entered politics as an MLA in 2014, representing Narnaund, and soon after became the Finance Minister in the Manohar Lal Khattar-led Haryana government. He held this position until the 2019 elections, where he faced a defeat and lost his seat. His political influence, however, remains significant, and his return to the electoral battlefield has drawn attention to both his political career and personal finances.
In his 2019 affidavit, Captain Abhimanyu had disclosed that he owned 35 different vehicles, though this year, no mention of these assets has been made in his filings. The omission raises questions about whether the vehicles are still in his possession or if they have been liquidated.

Despite his immense wealth, Captain Abhimanyu has outstanding loans amounting to ₹33 crore, according to his affidavit. In terms of annual income, the BJP leader earns approximately ₹3.45 crore per year, while his wife Ekta Sindhu earns ₹1.94 crore annually.
In addition to their holdings in shares, bonds, and various businesses, the family has considerable liquid assets. Captain Abhimanyu reported ₹1.11 lakh in cash and bank balances of ₹19.55 lakh. His wife, Ekta, holds ₹1.58 lakh in cash, with ₹18.71 lakh in her bank accounts. Their children have ₹2 lakh in cash and deposits of ₹3.86 lakh in their accounts.
