INLD leader Abhay Chautala has accused the BJP of intentionally creating divisions within the Chautala
family, aiming to weaken both the family and the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). Speaking to the media on Sunday following Aditya Chautala’s induction into the INLD, Abhay claimed that the BJP first isolated Aditya from the family in 2019 and subsequently encouraged Ajay Singh Chautala to leave the INLD in an attempt to destabilize the party.
Abhay asserted his ambition to become the Chief Minister rather than merely a kingmaker and criticized the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), stating that those who once saw themselves as kingmakers are now politically sidelined. He emphasized that his focus is on becoming the Chief Minister or continuing to advocate for the people from the opposition.
Further, Abhay accused the JJP of exploiting the state during their tenure and betraying the principles of Chaudhary Devi Lal. He alleged that the Chautala family has long been a target of political conspiracies, with Congress and BJP both deceiving the family for their own benefits. He also criticized the BJP for failing Aditya in Dabwali, despite his efforts to strengthen the party’s presence there.
Abhay predicted that both BJP and Congress are losing their influence, attributing this to internal conflicts over candidate selections. He suggested that similar turmoil will soon affect the Congress.
On the topic of wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s Congress ticket for Julana, Abhay acknowledged her achievements but pointed out that her political career will be scrutinized through her party affiliation. He also mentioned that 80 applicants for the Congress ticket in Julana are now demanding refunds of their Rs 20,000 fees following Phogat’s nomination.
