In a shocking incident from Begusarai district, Bihar, a fake doctor has been linked to the tragic death of a pregnant woman. Operating without any medical degree, the accused had established a lavish clinic where he performed surgeries on expectant mothers. Many women from poor families fell prey to his deception and were admitted to his hospital. Reports suggest that the accused would perform surgeries by watching YouTube videos on his mobile phone.

The case came to light following the death of a woman on November 5, when her family reported the incident. Currently, the main accused and his accomplices are on the run, with the police actively searching for them.

According to a report by ‘Local 18,’ the incident occurred in the Khodawandpur block of Begusarai. The accused had opened a clinic named ‘Rajanandani Clinic’ near the headquarters. He displayed pictures of renowned local doctors at his clinic, falsely claiming it to be a registered hospital. On November 2, Amrita Kumari, a 30-year-old woman from Arjuntol village in the Cheriya Bariyarpur block, was admitted by her family based on these misleading claims. Tragically, Amrita passed away on the evening of November 5 while receiving treatment.

Kajal Kumari, Amrita’s sister, informed ‘Local 18’ that the fake doctor conducted surgeries by watching videos on YouTube. She explained that he had been performing surgeries for the past 24 hours. When Amrita’s condition worsened and she neared death, the doctor fled the scene, prompting family members to create a ruckus in the clinic.

Residents have accused the local administration of negligence, claiming that several fake hospitals continue to operate in Khodawandpur due to lack of oversight. Many of these establishments are reportedly linked to prominent local doctors. Efforts to contact the in-charge of the Khodawandpur Primary Health Center were unsuccessful, as he was unavailable at the time.

This incident is not isolated. A similar case has emerged from Ara in Bihar, where a woman is fighting for her life due to a doctor’s negligence at a nursing home. According to local media, Jyoti Kumari, wife of Indrajeet Kumar from Dhundhua village in the Muffasil police station area, suffered severe complications after a doctor mistakenly cut and removed her small intestine during surgery.

Due to the doctor’s grave mistake, Jyoti’s condition deteriorated significantly, necessitating her transfer to a larger private hospital for further treatment. Meanwhile, the doctor involved in the nursing home incident has also gone missing, and the police are searching for him.

These alarming incidents raise serious questions about the regulation and oversight of medical practices in Bihar. The community is left in fear and mourning, calling for stricter enforcement of medical laws to protect the health and safety of vulnerable patients. The families of the victims are urging authorities to take action against these fraudulent practices to prevent further tragedies.
